Auto Body is one of the four assemblies of the car, a place to work for the driver, not only provides good working conditions for the driver, but also provides a comfortable driving environment for the crew, besides, it also plays a security role for occupants. Therefore, auto body in the design process is not only to meet the ergonomic requirements, while the body structure must meet certain structural performance requirements. Based on this, the structure of the cab can be redesigned according to the optimization results so as to meet the requirements and achieve the optimal structure.Taking the special vehicle cab as the research object, the main job is to do some structural design analysis and optimization. First of all, according to the ergonomic requirements, the interior overall arrangement of the cab is analyzed. Secondly, the stiffness and strength of the cab are analyzed by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS. Again, modal analysis and vibration characteristics are evaluated by using the finite element software ANSYS; while the dynamic response of the cab in the shock wave effects is analyzed. Finally, optimization analysis is carried out, and the skeleton structure of the cab is redesigned in order to improve the performance of the cab structure.In this paper, the ergonomics properties of the cab and the mechanical properties of the structure are accurately verified by doing the structural design analysis and optimization. The design of the cab skeleton structure is improved which further improves the mechanical properties of the cab. In this paper, the research process has important significance for the design and analysis of other cab.
