| This article introduces the history and development of the heavy machine gun, the current research situation of weapon system dynamics and firing stability,also the working principle and structure of one 12.7mm heavy machine gun.Based on the principle and structure of automatic weapons,the multibody dynamics theory and gas dynamics theory, simulation analysis of the gun is done in the simulation software Adams.The 3D model of one 12.7mm heavy machine gun was built in the solidworks based on the principle and structure of automatic weapons and actual situation. Then we get chamber and gas chamber pressure that chang overtime during the period of interior ballistic and period of after-effect by calculating program written by Matlab.Importing 3D model into Adams to build the virtual prototyping model of the gun and simulating. Then getting the the motion characteristic curve and the dynamic response curve machine gun,assessing the reasonableness of the dynamics simulation.Introduced the concept and analyzed the factors of firing stability.This paper proposes a structure improvement scheme to reduce the jump of the muzzle by designing a stability control device using the energy of the propellant gas.Considering the deformation of the barrel under the force of stability control device, then designing a bracket device to improve its stiffness.Simulating the machine gun that has been changed andcomparing the simulation results of the original machine gun,verifying that the firing stability of machine gun is improved.This article has theoretical guidance for the research on firing stability and the structure improvement for the machine gun. |
