Due to the limitations of economic,technological development and preciousland resources, high-rise and super high-rise structures are increasingly focused in thevarious countries and regions. More tall buildings will be constructed because high orsuper high building will become new symbol in planning of some regions. So findingan economic and safe structure has been a hotspot. Though experts and scholars indomestic and overseas have done plenty of research about conventional steelframe-concrete tube structure, but no more new structure system has been proposed.Professor Kejian Ma proposed a new system about high-rise reinforced concrete coreand assembly-space steel mesh tube of cassette structure, which can reduce somedisadvantages of the conventional frame tube structure. The new system caneffectively overcome the weakness of the conventional frame tube structure and fournational patents have been obtained about the new system, so it is expected to signallyachieve economic benefits. It is significant to analyze the mechanical characteristicsand seismic performance for providing the basis of the new structural system in realproject.Firstly, this paper is related to the developing and basic mechanicalcharacteristic of the tall building. Next this paper introduces the basic components,including steel open-web sandwich plate, steel grid frame wall and the whole gridcassette structure. Reciprocating load test and shear and bending deformation formulahave been researched for the derived steel grid wall frame. Research some mechanicalcalculation method of the new system. Otherwise comparisons of assembly-steelmesh “tube in tube†cassette structure and the conventional frame-tube structure hasbeen done. It also researches the load distribution between the inside and outside tubeconstruction members. Moreover static analysis and dynamic nonlinear finite elementanalysis are been considered. The paper is mainly simulating the failure process of thecomposite structure of the new system with elastic-plastic dynamic time historyanalysis under rare seismic effect. Therefore the conditions of cracking parts anddamage evolution of the structure are researched and the weak layer and weak parts ofthe structure can be found out. Moreover the mention of diagonal floor tube in tubecassette structures and several tube cassette structures broaden the new system type.Finally, a summary of the analysis for the structure are combined with actual project.According to the research, the new tube in tube cassette structure has goodseismic performance and economy benefits. At the end of this paper, outlook of thecassette structural system have been given and it offers some suggestions for futureresearch priorities. |
