The Study On Settlement Pattern And Architecture Of Dong Lianhua, A Village Of Hui Nationality, Dali

Traditional settlement is the place where people had lived together spontaneously along the process of human survival and development, its function and external form is influenced by many factors ,such as the human behavior, the spread and inheritance of culture, the natural environment. With the development and the evolution of the traditional settlement, it not only has borne social, economic, ethnic, religious and some other aspects of the rich content, but also contained the rich human culture information. Although the traditional settlement functions less than the modern urban architecture as the practical use for people. But for the architecture, through the study of traditional settlements and traditional architectural planning and site selection, and the deep exploring for the construction techniques and architectural culture ,we can inject new vitality and culture to the integration of modern architecture, which posses an important theoretical value and practical significance. This paper studies the Tea Horse Road, East Lianhua Cun, an important stopover in Wei Shan, Yunnan. As a multi.ethnic region traditional Muslim village situated in the southwest of China, it contains rich cultural connotations. These produced unique form of settlement pattern and architecture under the cultural influence becomes the focus of the thesis research.The thesis is composed by the six chapters, the consequent organizational structure can be divided into the following areas:The first chapter is an introduction section. As the introduction to the whole paper, this chapter mainly clarify the general situation of research and the main method on the research about Traditional settlement.Chapterâ…¡outlines the development of the East Lianhua Cun and multicultural background. So as to reveal the historical evolution and social environment of the East Lianhua Cun village, is the objective necessary conditions of its formation and development.Chapterâ…¢is to analysis the overall settlement pattern and the forming condition in Southwest China, so as to find the rules and characteristics about settlement pattern formation and evolution for the East Lianhua Cun, and to analysis the unique landscape and living environment of the East Lianhua Cun through spatial structure and elements of the Settlement . Chapterâ…£and chapter V are the main part of the whole thesis. The part is based on theoretical research and ontology research foundation. Through the traditional building types, spatial layout, function, structure, architectural image and character reflected by construction technology, building materials, decorative arts under multicultural influences, the thesis finds out that different climatic, geographical, cultural, economic and social environment have exerted influenced on the development of a nation and its architectural.Chapterâ…¥is the last part, making a summary overview of the full text. The paper takes some suggestions about the protection and regeneration for the East Lianhua Cun and look to the bright future for the East Lianhua Cun.
