Advanced composite materials, amount of which has become an indication of the manufacturing level of aircraft, is turning into more and more popular in fields of aircraft manufacturing. Because of reenterability and complicated manufacturing technology and process, Job Shop Scheduling is extremely hard. And so, the production efficiency and capacity of composite material are seriously limited. In this case, there will be more demand for MES of field assisted management.According to many faults of manual scheduling in a composite material workshop that belongs to an aircraft manufacturing corporation, this thesis investigates the production features such as organizing form of workshop, scheduling of material and equipment and the reenterability under single-piece and small-batches environment. Sequentially, a reasonable organization form, a corresponding scheduling mode and the solution for each work center were developed in this thesis. What's more, a model of multimodal workshop scheduling based on Theory of Constraints (TOC) and list sorting method were built, and then a scheduling algorithm of above model was presented in this thesis.There are several key problems as follows: delivery of material and tools in productive process, receiving of WIP and dealing of accident, monitoring and alarms of external and perishable material, exception handling etc. this thesis, according to above problems, a production scheduling system was developed what is MES system which has been verified by a set of test cases.
