Informal housing in Shenzhen city village is significant to the city. After 30 years of booming development, Shenzhen has been labeled on modern, international and prosperous; however, the city village is one another. Although the informal housing in city village is always seen as a disharmony factor in planning, and the problems of environment, management, renovation become more and more severe, it has housed about half of the permanent population in Shenzhen which include the vast majority of non-registered population, the main force of city construction.There needs to consider the informal housing market as a background and take an overall recognition of the characters and the evolution of the residential morphology, then summarize the law, and analyze the mechanism after that if we want to solve the problems of the informal housing in city villages, and this is a special perspective. It reveals that the development of informal housing is staggered though earlier research. This thesis combines background in different period to study the characteristics of informal housing's residential morphology from three different stages which is embryonic stage, booming stage and renovating stage. According these characteristics, the informal housing in city villages can be divided into three different types, resident-ministrant type, industry-dependent type and industry-subsidiary type.There needs to investigate the reasons behind when it comes up with the characteristics. The characteristics are the result of several different factors but not only just one cause. That's why in chapter three it takes social factor, economical factor and institutional factor into consideration to explain the evolution mechanism.In the end, it comes up to get a vision of future. Based on the fact that layout of industry and the policies of housing are two very important factors to influence the residential morphology when synthesize the reasons and the characteristics. With considering the future vision and the new policies of housing, the last chapter makes a prospect of the residential morphology, which can be a reference to make good use of the informal housing in city villages in a more proper way. |
