The light weight composite material with fly-ash and straw is new building- materials in tendency to the social development, and it is situated at initial stage at home and abroad. By development and application to the composite material, it will produce great social, economic and environmental benefit. Therefore, it is important in theory and valuable in practice to research in this respect. The main researches of the article are as follow:1. The article introduces the developing situation of composite material with fly-ash and straw at home and abroad, and elaborates the important significance of fly-ash generalized, the main physical property and chemical composition of fly ash. The article elaborates research background and survey of fly-ash in details, and it also lays important foundation for the research of the light weight composite material with fly-ash and straw.2. Some experimental researches are made in this article on the composite material with fly-ash and straw by uniform design method. The data of splitting and bending test are analyzed by binary non-linear recursive analysis. The researches point out that the splitting failure peak value of the composite material will decrease while the para- meter of straw is increasing. Therefore, adding adequate admixture will enhance the bonding ability in materials .The bending strength of the materials will decrease while the parameter of straw is increasing. According to the practical engineering, the parameter of straw must be controlled in a certain scope. When the ratio of fly-ash and straw is 45% and 6%, the splitting failure peak value of material reaches to the maximum. When the ratio of fly-ash and straw is 60% and 6%, the bending strength of material reaches to the maximum.3. According to characters of the splitting and bending text, it can extablish the equation of failure. By the language of FORTRAN, it can compute the failure probability of the experiment, and carry on the reliability analysis of the composite material and examine the splitting failure peak value and bending strength.4. Through ANSYS soft to analysis the resistance to splitting and bending text of material, it can research the nodes von mises stress and the stress of X,Z direction. Regarding the resistance to splitting and bending test, the nodes von mises stress decrease gradually from the center line of load applied to the both of edge surface. The stress of the resistance to split in Z direction is not totally compressive stress, and tensile stress consists in crack round the center line of load applied, both bring the collective effect to the test piece of the resistance to split. The distributed trend of the stress in X direction is tensile stress, which is transitive from the top surface to the bottom, and there is a neutrosphere in the test piece of the resistance to split.
