The Design Study Of Prison Space For Psychological Correction

Prison as a state is an important component of society, a comprehensive reflection of social civilization and the era. After a long history of development, prison construction has been in the past, criminals were forced to the environment and development to become a disciplined and transformation, corrective and education in one place, with the functions of hospitals, schools and workshops. However, the prisons nowadays pay more attention to punish criminals and protection and security, ignoring the psychological problems. In the social background, the old prison space environment is not adapted to nowadays demands.With the new century′s coming, as the spiritual civilization and promoting the work of correctional, many scholars devote in criminal psychology research, combines reform experience, to explore ways and means of psychological correctional. Improving prison space is an effective correctional methods. From architecture major, because the space environment is close to the psychological need, the prison stuff could be psychological corrected in the correctional prison environment.This paper takes prison for study. The study of the different features of the prisoners concludes to the psychological needs. The field research says: the space is lagging behind, and could not satisfy the needs of the prison staff psychological correctional.Second, through the psychological needs the space feeling, we can do the design study of prison space for psychological correctional. With the prison staff in different stages of the psychological needs, different atmosphere could be adapted to different areas. The stuff could be corrected with effective psychological guidance. We construct different environment in three parts: external environment design, internal space design and color design.Finally, takes construction project of Raozhou prison as an example, we introduce the planning layout, landscape design and architecture design. From architecture angle we put forward a high efficiency correctional way, from which we can provide some reference for the design.
