The reliability data collected during the operation of the civil aircrafts provides the first-hand information of the specific aircraft under the actual operating conditions and characterizes the aircraft'filed reliability. Manufacturers of civil aircrafts collect these reliability data and analysis them to keep the reliability and ensure the continuing airworthiness of aircrafts, thus improving the quality of customer services. Therefore, the study on the techniques of collection and analysis of the filed reliability data generated during the operation of civil aircrafts has a great significance.Firstly,we stated the purpose of the filed reliability data collection and analyzed the characteristics of the field reliability data, based on which the reliability data source, data types and data collection procedure is determined the content, sources and processes of the reliability information gathering. In view of the multiple sources and types of the filed reliability data, a standardized requirement for the data collection was established.Secondly,based on the collected filed reliability data of the civil aircrafts, we studied the analysis methods for the reliability data. The main indices characterized the reliability of aircrafts were determined and associated calculating methods were developed. A case study was carried out based on the field reliability data: the fault data and performance data, from a gas turbine engine to assess its filed reliability.Thirdly, the release and use of the filed reliability assessment information was studied. The reliability weekly report and monthly report were designed for the manufacturers to distribute the field reliability assessment information to the customers. Based on the field reliability assessment, the fleet potential risks are identified and following corrective actions are proposed. The framework for collaborative work as well as the closed working loop for the collection, analysis and use of the filed reliability data is proposed and summarized in this section.Finally, based on the study of this thesis a filed reliability information management system for the manufacturers was developed. The design process of the system as well as the development architecture and function modules is presented. Some system interfaces are given.
