Inner Mongolia Wuhai GanDeEr mountain, located in the northwest of China, adjacent to Ningxia municipality to its south, fall into the typical plateau hungriness ecological rothole zone. Combining GanDeEr mountain ecological landscape planning &design project cases, this paper inquires into the desertification area of ecological construction basis for effective land development and realize the sustainable development of management thought.Our country is one of the worst desertification countries in the world, especially in north, the desertification areas are spreading quickly, which lead to series of ecological and social problems. Our country had made efforts to perform the effective work in preventing desertification, but there are some problems during the process, which request to solve the problem with more strength, high speed and scale enlarge, especially closely combining the desertification with ecological construction and industry development.This thesis illustrates the concept, connotation and type of land desertification, and the research theory of desertification prevention in current domestic and abroad countries, including recovery of ecology and sustainable development. With investigation and analysis for Ningxia Shapotou tourist district, the thesis summarizes the experience for how to make the ornamental value of the northwest area combining the tourism development during the sand control project.Through on-the-spot investigation wuhai area desertification of land present situation, from natural resources, economic development and social culture analysis such as GanDeEr mountain ecological construction necessity and feasibility. Aiming at GanDeEr mountain ecological environment and landscape resources, historical and cultural resources, and mountain three-dimensional space analysis and evaluation of ecological construction, and puts forward the principle, measures of ecological construction, industry planning position and function target.On the basis of theoretical analysis, combining GanDeEr mountain ecological landscape construction of comprehensive planning, the thesis proposed sectional planning and identify specific planning project implementation including planning structure, landscape zoning, road traffic, landscape sight analysis, ecological afforestation, water, water supply, the vertical design, basic service facilities, energy saving and emission reduction and so on. Based on research on ecological construction of tourist industry development, realize the desertification treatment in combination of ecological - economic sustainable development.Finally, the research results are summarized and discussed.
