Research On The Individual Problem Of Campus Architectural Image And Case Studies

In recent years, the enrollment scale of Chinese universities is expanding, which brings great pressure on the space and infrastructure of university campus. It is an inevitable choice of university's development to expand the campus space. However, the extensive and quick construction bring many problems. One of them is the lack of campus individuality.This paper based on not only the theory study, but also lots of practices of domestic and international university campus construction. It also analysis various individual design strategies and methods of campus architectural image and emphasizes the importance of the individual design problem. Therefore, this paper, as a design documentation, provides some basic ideas for a new period of university campus construction.Firstly, the paper discusses the basic problem of campus architectural image. It analysis the basis of individual design for the campus architectural image in many aspects, including the concept formulation, common features, starting point of design, etc.Secondly, the paper will be integrating theory with practice, analyzing and summing up the methods and examples of individual design for campus architectural image. It also provides various individual design strategies and methods of campus architectural image.Finally, this paper discusses the problems of diversifying expression for university construction practices with a project of Tianjin Haihe Education Park and Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College for example.
