Electric power steering system (EPS) is a new power steering technology. This paper researchs the influence of the control strategy and the parameters match on the EPS performance and the control stability of the commercial vehicle.Based on the study of the power characteristics and the control strategy of EPS in detail, according to characteristics of commercial vehicles, the paper devises the power curve and the control strategy of EPS for the commercial vehicle. The control strategy is made up with three patterns, which are control pattern of assist torque, control pattern of aligning torque and control pattern of damping torque. Then, creates the vehicle model of the commercial vehicle and simulation surrounding in accordance with international standards in the TruckSim, which is a new vehicle dynamic simulation software. And completes the establishment of EPS model in Matlab/Simulink, which is the control analysis simulation software. In this paper, co-simulation of TruckSim and Matlab/Simulink is applied to achieving dynamics simulation of commercial vehicle with EPS. Through the analysis of simulation results, the paper researches the influence of the different control strategy and parameters on EPS performance and vehicle control stability. |
