The Research Of The Berth Utilization Rate Of Container Terminal Based On The Simulation

The berth utilization rate is one of the most important parameters, the value of which is determined by most most ports by nowadays adopting experience or according to queuing theory,which has certain rationality, but failed to take into account of the characteristics of the container liner shipping. There should be more scientific and reasonable calculation method to determine the berth utilization rate because of the timing service,dynamic berthing and the ship to port arrivaling regular.This paper firstly analyze the research at home and abroad about the berth utilization rate, summarize the various calculation methods and its defects. Then explain the formulation method of sailing schedule and analyze its correlation. Then put forward the simulation method to determine the berth utilization rate. Finally take DaLian Port Da Yaowan container terminal as an example to prove the scientific and reasonable of the method bring up by this paper.
