Electro-hydraulic servo valve is the key component of electro-hydraulic servo system. It has a lot of advantages, such as high precision, quick response and so on. The performance of electro-hydraulic servo valve will directly affect the control precision, stability and reliability of the system, or even determine the overall system performance. The test of the servo valve has important significance in ensuring performance indicators and accurate, rapid, steady of the servo control system. With the development of the computer-aided test technology and virtual instrument technology, the application of the CAT in the hydraulic system based on virtual instrument technology has greatly improved the control precision and reliability of the hydraulic system, and it is the development of the hydraulic test and control system.By combining the CAT technology with the hydraulic servo control technology, the electro-hydraulic servo valve test and control system based on virtual instrument measurement has been developed in this paper. This system not only has the function of performance testing of electro-hydraulic servo valve and intelligent closed-loop control, but also has the configuring and monitoring functions.The system has accomplished the automatic processing of the electro-hydraulic servo valve performance testing and intelligent closed-loop control.Firstly, the theory of the static and dynamic characteristics, the theory of intelligent control system and the overall program design of the control system are introduced. The performance indicators and testing theory of the static and dynamic characteristics of the servo valve and the basic theory of intelligent control are mainly introduced. Then, the hardware of the test and control system, mainly include sensors, signal conditioning circuits, data acquisition equipment and so on, is designed. The hardware structure of the test and control system and the design process of the signal conditioning circuit are mainly introduced. As following, the software of the system is designed and developed, the software structure and implementation methods are mainly introduced, and the software programming of the system is made. By combining the hardware and software, a control system has been developed. Finally, the experiments, including the static and dynamic performance testing experiment and the closed-loop control experiment have been competed. The experiments show that this testing system has improved the servo valve control accuracy and test efficiency and minimized human intervention.The hardware transformation of the testing system is low-cost and the software is user-friendly, functional, and easy to read and maintain. The result of this study has the reference value and significance to further study the FESTO hydraulic control system.
