Abstract/Summary:
The advantages of the cement concrete pavement with high strength, good stability and good durability, which make it be used broadly worldwide in the highway construction. But the disadvantages of its poor skid-resistance durability and higher noise always puzzle road engineers and researchers in all kinds of countries. People raise the higher need for safety and comfort performance of roads.This paper carried out a large number of laboratory tests to study skid-resistance, light-reflection, and abrasion-resistance of cement concrete pavement, and its performance was compared with normal cement concrete pavement. In order to study the abrasion and attenuation of skid-resistant textures of different concrete pavements, the accelerated abrasion instrument was developed and manufactured, the necessity and test process of the instrument were introduced in detail. The stimulating abrasion tests on groove concrete, pavement slabs were conducted. The test results show that, the abrasion process of groove concrete is changed with its main wearied material by stages, which change quickly at early stage while later slowly; As a groping test research on the abrasion process and attenuation of skid-resistant texture of cement concrete pavement, it is of much significance for further investigations on related topicsCombining with characteristics of the surface texture, the damage mechanics of cement concrete pavement is investigated and the damage mode is classified; By laboratory test, the paper researches on several factors effecting abrasion resistance of concrete involving type of fine aggregate and the construct technology is well selected and the match ratio design is implemented. The orthogonal design method is used for the optimum match ratio design of wear resistant concrete. The method of taking use of mineral additives is studied to improve durability of the concrete of pavement, and then the compound of fly ash and slag is proposed to improve the surface durability of concrete after abrasion and freezing-thawing test.
