As the cradle of modern design , in the early 20th century, Bauhaus has put forward the design purpose is person, rather than products. Modern design education has also told us a clear clue that it consistently throughout the design activities - to meet human needs, that research design is to study the needs of people, we can see between design and requirements has the inevitable and close links. Is designed to meet the demand, needs are met and constantly improve the design, and in the era of reduced demand, the essence of design is to create demand. With the global push forward the process of aging society, aged industry has become the new and growth potential industry. The rise of aged industries and aged market expansion reflects the urgent needs of the elderly, as consumers, demand of older people driven the design and the production. When the products can basically meet the needs of elderly consumers, the design will in another role to stimulate demand and create demand for certain or several, to stimulate the vitality of older industries. So, the new design concept will be integrated into the emerging industry of which the elderly in order to activate the aged market, driving the elderly consumption. As the most populous developing country, China has entered the aging society in 1999, China's elderly population accounts for more than 12% of the total population in the world, the absolute number of largest in the world. Design and development Reasonable function and quality products for the Chinese way of life of older persons, to meet the needs of older persons in China have become an opportunity for the development of China's older industries and enterprises in market competition for development opportunities.The main contents of this article are as follows: The first part, in the face of global aging, older industries have the potential to become one of the industries in the 21st century, 2009, the spending power of Chinese old goods reached 6,000 billion yuan, is expected to increase to 2 by 2020 trillion yuan, but the current supply of old industries and products can not satisfy the needs of elderly consumers. With old people driven demand for industrial product design has a new development opportunity, a clear demand on the basis of the content and intensity described the relationship between demand and product design. The second part, to domestic and international demand for research based on theoretical results, the research focus on the needs of the elderly, combined with the development status of older industries, with demand theory to guide our design. The third part, with old people's demand for wires, systematic product design concept as a method, inductive products in the elderly design process flow. The fourth part is a key part of the demand characteristics of old age from the combined analysis of foreign communications product design classic case of old age, general design principles of the older products. Older product design process based on the principles of theoretical research results and to meet the needs of older persons in China as the goal, the "magic pea comb" on the design. Finally, this research aims to design products for the elderly in China to provide more theoretical support system to activate the market and to improve our older industries into the international market.
