Exploration And Research On The Realizability And Feasibility Of Interconnecting Design Among Residential Planning, Architecture And Environment

As an important part of people's livelihood and along with economic reform and social development, residential has already attracted increasing attention from the government, the public and various sections of society since the Reform and Opening up. After 1996 Central Authorities put forward a policy to speeding up housing construction, China's residential construction embraces an unprecedented fast development period. However, there exist some problems in the design procedures of current residential planning and design. Separating the design course into three subsections of planning, architecture and environment breaks the wholeness of residential planning and design and the continuity of design thoughts.Aiming at this problem, this paper put forward a practical conception of interconnection to take the place of the current planning and design course with the analysis of the superiority and inferiority about the possible conceptions of the concurrent design of planning, architecture and environment and of the application of conservation detailed planning into urban design guidance."Interconnect" has two meanings in the dictionary—combine and understand. "Getting a thorough understanding through combining various kinds of knowledge and theories together" is the solution of the complicated and interconnected problems exists during the residential construction. Only through interconnection, all problems can be solved. The purpose of interconnection of design is to radically solve the problems exist in the wholeness and continuity of current planning and design.Interconnection of design has the following features: more horizontal cooperation between design departments; comprehensive consideration about the whole design of residential and combination of various knowledge of landscape design. From the views of landscape designer and architect this paper put forward the idea of the practical aspect that landscape designers should combine their own advantages, professional knowledge and subjective initiative together to achieve the application of interconnection of design in practice.The purpose of this paper is to research how we can, under the traditional system of residential planning and design which gives priority to the planning part, exert the most positive effect of landscape designer and effectively cooperate with other design departments to provide more experience and ideas for the prospective residential development and scientific knowledge system improvement of China.
