Impact compaction technology is the major measure in reconstruction of pavement and is widely applied in the reconstruction of pavement at all levels highway in China. This technique uses mechanical compact devices to produce a huge energy for crushing the structures of the old pavements not only it can make the original base course become compact, improve the total intensity and stability of base course but also it can effectively solve local disengaging under cement concrete slab and make the compacted base course be reutilized in new pavement. But Impact crushes crushing technology in our old cement concrete pavement reconstruction in the practical application and research is still at the initial stage of development, the experimental and theoretical research was behind the engineering practice. The right guide and improve the impact rolling the old concrete pavement technology has important practical significance to ensure and improve the quality and economy of concrete road pavement.In this paper, based on mechanical theory, mechanical behavior of pavement plate when road impact compaction machine was used in the reconstruction process of old concrete pavement is investigated and get theoretical data from the energy, produced from road impact compaction machine. The effect, because of that road impact compaction machine is at different construction positions, of pavement, basement and subgrade is analyzed by finite element method. By means of the finite element software ADINA, a simulation is made for impact compaction behavior when road impact compaction machine is at four typical construct positions. The stress of cement pavement in three-dimensions and fracture of slab bottom are investigated, the stress of basement and soil under the crushing stress machine are simulated at the same time, additional impact of construction machinery to basement is preliminary investigated and the additional stress subside of cement pavement when construction positions are different is investigated. Research on the polygon impact compaction machine shows that compared with traditional round impact compaction machine, energy, produced at reconstructed old cement pavement, of polygon impact compaction machine is far from ten times, so that traditional machine can't compare with it. Selecting impact compaction machine IMPACTOR 2000 as a specific object of study, energy generated in the process of impact compaction pavement by impact compaction machine is analyzed by finite element method. Because of different routes, selected four typical position, the results show that when the machine is in the middle of the board the machine is most favorable to the broken plate, when the machine is in the corner of the board the broken zone is the smallest, but longitudinal displacement is maximal, most favorable compaction between the road basement and soil basement.
