Traffic plays a vital role in urban development, it is contact social activities and economic activity. Slow speed city traffic and high-speed developing economy in sharp contrast.Although the authorities have introduced "Pai Du Bao Chang"measures, which cannot stop the trend of worsening traffic congestion, the existing urban traffic policy in terms of easing traffic congestion appeared to be inadequate.Study of domestic and foreign scholars generally agreed that, urban spatial structure and transport efficiency is closely related to each other. Urban spatial structure is rich in meanings, in which poly-centric structure got a lot of attention. In the development of international cities in practice, people hope to reduce traffic problem and other city problem through the spatial structure, and accumulated a wealth of experience. Shanghai as a representative of the mega cities in China, on the condition that traffic supply policies and traffic demand policy cannot ease traffic problems, traffic policy turns to space structure for help.Therefore, select Shanghai as the empirical study object, not only beneficial to explore mechanism of urban spatial structure on traffic trip, but also conductive to integrate the actual situation, put forward appropriate Traffic policy and strategy for traffic trip of Shanghai.The paper based on the legal unit employment quantity and land area data of Shanghai's each neighborhood (town or village) in 1996 and 2004, the research has carried out the empirical examination of spatial structure evolution of Shanghai, and analyzed its influence to the travel trip. Refer to the abroad classical definition of employment center and the practical situation of shanghai, the paper has defined 26 employment centers in the city of Shanghai. By the questionnaire investigate of commute traffic which aimed at employee sample in employment center, the article has compared and analyzed the commute character and current situation of employment center. Take employment center and employee sample as the elementary unit of quantification research separately, the paper made the fully explored and in-depth analysis of spatial structure's mechanism to commute. What's more, from the point of current status of employment center, the article put forward several advices to promote Competitive forces of employment center.The main conclusions of this research are:from 1996 to 2004, employment density which is not too much decreased in downtown, but it is increases rapidly in suburb. These changes show that the jobs in downtown are transferring to suburban. In the quantification research of the employment center as the basis unit, the paper found that jobs-housing balance is the most important factor influence commuting efficiency, Second is the bus commuter proportion; In the quantification research of the employee as the basis unit, the paper found that the main affect of commuters factors are the proportion of jobs-housing balance, distance from CBD, means of transportation. The empirical research shows that jobs-housing balance is very efficient to shorten the commute time of employee. So we can see jobs-housing balanced Poly-centric structure can ease traffic congestion problem. |
