Frame is a important component in the vehicle, it can endure various loads which are from vehicle. Therefore the performance of vehicle structure affects car design directly. Meanwhile, as car industry has developed quickly, vehicle's performance is very high, then the traditional design method has been unable to satisfy the requirement of modern vehicle's design. As computer appeared, especially the fast development of super computer and finite-element method bring the new revolution for analysis of vehicle structure performance. Through the finite-element analysis of frame structure, use results to optimize various frame parameters, to improve the performance of vehicle, to reduce cost of design and manufacturing, all of above is very important for car holding dominant position in market.Used finite-element method as a basic technology, used ANSYS software as an analysis platform, calculated, analyzed, forecasted and simulated the basic mechanics performance of cargo frame which is from HuBei Three-ring special vehicle Ltd, also made optimization design for frame.With suitable simplification of frame and load, used ANSYS to build finite-element model of frame, researched the method of simulating structure connection way, did static analysis in three conditions which are bending, torsion and braking, analyzed the results for structure concentrated stress, proposed the advices for structure.With finite-element model of frame, calculated the frame first fifteen vibration modes under free station, own frequency and modes were gained, the vibration features were also analyzed; simulated the vehicle passing a slope, analyzed transient response features of frame structure.Based on modal analysis, made parameterizations for width, thickness and etc of frame structure, established parameter model, did structure optimization design in order to reach the aim of light-weight.
