Due to the continuous growth of the passenger transport demand, the safety, convenience and comfort required are ever increasing as well; our passenger transport industry, particularly China Railway Passenger Transport, is being facing a new challenge. Under the fact that the difficulty in the passenger rail transport hardly meets the growing transport needs, to improve the organization of work, optimize the layout of passenger stations, and better the service ability of equipment, are those important steps which can comprehensively improve the efficiency and ability of passenger rail transport. In this paper, the PRTS will be the object of study, aim at such common existing issues of China PRTS as complex passenger-organizational processes, obsolete approaches, reasonless streamline designing, equipment disposition. Based on the angle of passenger-flow organization, several aspects will be analyzed from the layout of station space, passenger-flow lines, equipment disposition, to service abilities; meanwhile the optimization of passenger-flow organization will be conducted in-depth research as below:a. In the first part, the concentration mainly lies in the process of PRTS passenger-flow organization with its key segments, and analysis in principal factors on passenger-flow organization. The relative problems of China PRTS will be proposed additionally.b. In the second part, the investigation is conducted on Passenger-flow organization of PRTS from the perspective of layout and designing of flow lines. By the classification of PRTS flow lines, the principles to be followed are proposed, and by the analysis of different phases of development, the layout characteristics of typical flow lines are systematically studied.c. In the Third part, the study mainly focuses on the reasonable disposition solutions of equipment in which imposing the relative queuing system theory is to solve passenger-flow organization. Having built the passenger-average-waiting-time model on flow-line platform, which is concatenated by two terminals, the observation on the amount of sensitivity of average-waiting-time to various service dispositions is carefully analyzed. One the other hand, it is proposed that by using a micro-simulation software to simulate the flow of passenger traffic, to seek the main obstructive factors in Passenger-flow organization; thus, the solutions will be optimized for passenger organization according to these key phases.d. Taking Beijing South Railway Station as an example, for those problems from passenger-flow organization, we have given the remedies by optimizing flow-line of the ground floor of both North and South accesses. By using two-leveled queuing network model, we have calculated and analyzed the disposition reasonableness of security equipment, manual ticket office, and automatic ticket checker rationality; furthermore, optimization proposal finally has been drafted out. The results showed that only by adding one security check entrance in the north and south respectively, the average-wait-time can be reduced by 41.76%. The involvement of microscopic simulation software "Anylogic" successfully simulated the situation of passenger-flow organization on up floor, we found the most obstructive factors are the shortage of security check entrance; the number of automatic ticket checker is inadequate likewise. By re-simulating the optimization solution, adjustments of key equipment are operated and the crowdedness of the large number of passenger has been effectively alleviated.
