Research Analysis Of Regional Characteristic In City Square Design

With the development of the economy and people's living standard, the improving infrastructure and urban public space have increased rapidly. As an important part of urban space-city square also has become a necessary part for each city. Urban public space and increased city plaza, which reflects the inhabitants of the city who no longer satisfied with the material life, they start to pursue the city spirit and culture connotation. City square not only enriches urban public space environment, but also shows a city's social attribute and people's life style. Because of excessive speed urbanization in recent years, resulting the lack of city spirit connotation. These regrettable urban public space couldn't meet the needs of people's daily communication activities, make the city original space broken, and interrupted historical context inheriting of the city. Based on these problems, the design of city square how to reflect each city's unique culture attribute and then show humanistic spirit became a city in the paper which explored.Based on western city square as starting, point the formation and development of Chinese and western city squares, compare with their respective development process both in similar and different parts. Then analyzes the characteristics of modern urban square and the existing problems, puts forward the modern city square need regional features, with local characteristics and how to build the modern urban square. One city and the other city become more and more similarly, regional culture characteristics are missing more and more seriously. This paper try to analysis the regional characteristics of square design in theory, and proposed several methods which rooted in regional culture. These methods should not constrained by one or some methods in form, it should reflect a kind of generalized regional culture ideas, with a new Angle to understand the city regional culture.
