As the basic unit of the pneumatic system, the performance of pneumatic components directly affects merits of the whole system. Along with the rapid development of pneumatic technology,varieties of pneumatic components is increasing performance of them is improving too.Testing performance and methods of pneumatic components is different from each other, and testing methods is improving with the improvement of pneumatic components' performance. Limited variety and specifications of products can be used to meet Species diversity to a considerable extent and economically with Modular Design which is a modern design. That means new product= universal modules+special modules. So modular design is introduced to the development of characteristic testing platform for pneumatic components.Development of characteristic testing platform for pneumatic components based on modular is proposed based on the research of the testing methods of pneumatic components. Design of system's hardware and software is highlighted in this thesis. The mainly contents of this thesis include the following parts:In chapter 1, first, applications of pneumatic technology, developing trend of pneumatic components and testing system of pneumatic components based on Virtual Instruments is introduced, and then the research background significance and contents of the subject are expatiated.In chapter 2,testing methods of many important characteristics of pneumatic components include solenoid valve, flow valve, pressure regulator, cylinder, solenoid, vacuum generator, vacuum relief valve, air source processor are researched.In chapter 3, development of characteristic testing platform for pneumatic components based on modular is proposed based on the relationship of testing system of pneumatic components and modular design. And functional decomposition and the modular division of the test system.In chapter 4, development of system's hardware and software based on modular is introduced. Mainly include development of common interface module and control software on modular.In chapter5,design methods of subsystem of testing system of pneumatic components based on modular is introduced taking characteristic testing of solenoid valve, cylinder sealing and general test as an example.Test results are analyzed at the same time.In chapter6, the study work of the subject is summarized and future research orientations are put forward.
