| The system of urban landscape gardening is very important for the urban gardening, landscaping, purifying, and the balance of the urban ecological system as well. Moreover, the sustainable development of urban landscape gardening is also a main part of the urban sustainable development. After the rapid development of the urban planning and construction, parts of regional landscape gardening construction can not meet with the demand of image and positioning of the city. So it is the current duty of our gardener about how to carry out effectively the landscape gardening planning, and how to improve and optimize the features of green view under the theory of sustainable development.In this article, it is concluded that landscape optimizing and upgrading is an effective, innovative and advancing with the times method in the sustainable development of urban landscape gardening, followed by the present condition of urban landscape gardening and the practice of the upgrading of Ningbo's urban landscape gardening. Further, from the practice, some problems and methods are concluded. And the significance of upgrading of urban landscape gardening for sustainable development is indicated. With the methods of landscape upgrading and the exploring of landscape multiplicity, we, Ningbo City, shall urge on the diversification of the construction of urban landscape gardening by new theory. The final purpose is the construction of the urban ecological landscape gardening, and accomplishes sustainable development of human and nature, economy, society and environment.This investigation discusses the sustainable development for the construction of Ningbo's urban landscape gardening from the landscape upgrading of urban landscape gardening. And it makes a feasibility study investigation report for the sustainable development.
