A Study To Product Design Method Based On Shape Innovation

The thesis set off from the research of product shape, analyzed the deficiency points of traditional product design methods and summarized the essential factors of product shape innovation. Had also posted the concept of"product shape prototype"in the process of product shape innovation and presented the methods of its selection, expression, creation, development and combination. At the same time, this thesis had posted the concept of the expression model and the operation model of product shape and summarized the creation method for two different types of the expression model– the line and surface model and the solid model, and made a detailed description for their creation and development method. Finally, the thesis carried out a final process flow of product shape's production, combining with design examples and based on the new concepts given above.
