Study On The Relationship Between Urban Road Traffic And Urban Spatial Structure

Nowadays, with the constant development of economic globalization and the world urbanization course, great progress has made in Chinese big cities. The scale of the city is expanding constantly. However, many unaccommodated phenomenon have emerged during the course of city expansion .Especially, the inconsistent development of urban spatial structure and road traffic confused many metropolis .The urban transport, while developing rapidly, also faces that traffic system supply and demand contradictions of the road are outstanding day by day too. The problem of urban transport congestion and the question that stand pancake type of urban space morphology spread have already become one of the world difficult problems of the current society.Here originally in the thesis, the author puts forward that there is in existence the objective interactive and feed backing relation between the urban spatial structure and road traffic. This paper analyses the concepts of the urban space morphology and the urban road traffic at first, reviews the relevant theory of the studying on their relation. It summarizes theories on mutual relationship between urban spatial structure and road traffic both in China and abroad. On the basis of explaining motive force mechanism of urban spatial structure, proposed that there is a mutual mechanism between urban traffic and urban spatial structure. In other words, they are constantly adapting and coordinating with each other during the process of development. So the relationship between the urban spatial structure and the urban road traffic must be carefully dealt with while the city develops.Subsequently, with realities of Nanchang, this article has analyzed the historical evolution process between urban spatial structure and road traffic. The urban spatial structure of Nanchang is formed under the interaction of them. Then this article depicts urban spatial structure and road traffic of today's Nanchang. Afterwards, problems between urban spatial structure and road traffic about Nanchang are clarified. On these basis, optimize strategies on urban spatial structure and urban transport are discussed based on traffic development and urban planning.
