With the fast development of China urban rail transit, the safety issues of urban rail transit attracted wide attention. Risk assessment is one of the effective measure to reduce the risk of operating safety. This paper discusses the risk factors in the track system of urban mass transit by using the FTA, AHP and fuzzy synthetic evaluation theory.Urban rail transit is a large complex system, many factors affect the operational safety. This paper makes a summing-up of the variety of operation risk factors on the urban rail transit security risks, and with emphasis on analyzing the failure of track structure, containing rail failure, switch failure, sleeper failure and subgrade bed disease. Establishing fault tree by FAT analyze degree of importance for minimum cut sets and basic events. In this paper, on the basic of FAT, fuzzy synthetic evaluation theory is to judge the safety of the rail system route:first determine the weight of each component through taking the advantage of the AHP, then evaluate each factor's severity and probability of occurrence through the expert investigation method, thus confirm the level of risk, establish risk matrix, finally realize Safety Risk Assessment on one of the track system in Beijing by using multi-layer fuzzy synthetic evaluation theory.
