Framework has always been the most widely used form of a building structure which are used in most multi-storey structures because of its high strength, good seismic performance, construction of fast, economical, etc. As society advances, aging and other social issues has drawn increasing attention of the government, the most specific concern is reflected in the government in the old houses and old medical institutions, and the structure of the existing framework of the new lift shaft, to meet the architectural features the need for and use of quality improvement. After reforming the lift shaft, the structure still need to meet the force, seismic and other regulatory requirements, so it is necessary to analyze the structure and then make the appropriate feasibility of the program.First, the paper introduced the development of the concrete seismic theory and the necessity of the elevator shaft addition. It is necessary to finite element analysis for the transformation of frame structural system changes.Second, it has established a multi-storey frame structure and three different models with elevator shaft. After response spectrum analysis, it provides corresponding reference for structural reform according to the results of the type of structure vibration, displacement and lateral displacement angle. During the time history analysis, using ELCENTRO seismic waves, Tangshan-Beijing Hotel observation points of seismic waves and a set of artificial seismic waves, it has compared the maximum and the time of the structural displacement and acceleration time history occurring, so it can select different elevator shaft structure according to different requirements.Finally, based on the principle of reinforced concrete structures, the structure need to be reinforced by external prestressed method, carbon fiber reinforced paste method and other methods. And the paper has put forward in the analysis gaps and needs further study direction.
