First, we discuss the development process and the present situation of the power line carrier communication in the paper. Then the principle of digital SSB power line carrier modulation and demodulation system is proposed. On the basis of the principle, the technical solution to the implementation of this system is proposed. Using DSP platform to achieve the key algorithm of this system, such as Weaver modulation algorithm and IWA demodulation algorithm. Also we analyze their performance and features. The elaboration of compand function and amplitude limite function to voice signal is also given in the paper. We describe the method to generate the carrier frequency signal based on the DDS principle in detail. For the quality of the filter performance directly affects the performance of the system, we use the best approximation criteria equiripple to achieve FIR filter. In addition, we use high-frequency automatic gain control algorithm to increase the stability level of the received signal in the system. Also we describe the method to load DSP program and the approach of flash programming. Test indication of the system and the performance test results is given in this paper, the test results show that the system has basically reached the requirements of users.Finally, this paper focuses on the overall design of the multi-channel multiplexer. And the key technology of the functional modules are introduced in the paper.
