Building skin is a hot topic the field of architecture at home and abroad in recent years. It is one of the inevitable basic problems in the architectural design, since the architecture generated. Technology and media have a rapid development at the present day. With the emerging of new materials and new technologies, the increasing cultural exchanges and integrates. The structure and form of buildings are continuously realizing the dream of mankind and impacting the aesthetic of the public. Architecture around the world has long been showing a state of flourishing. Viewing the design techniques around the building skin, technology and differences between cultural aesthetic making the building design come to a crossroads. The issue where should the future building skin design toward is raising people's thinking.Throughout the building skin in the history of the evolution process, we can see that this is a paralleling progress of integration and separation between maintenance and structural system. Nowadays, many outstanding designs invariably return to the state of integration between maintenance the structure, to explore the possibility of the development of skin.In this paper, the object of study is building skin. Starting with the evolution of the relationship between building skin and structure system, this paper uses a large number of instances, trying to analyze the causes of changing relationship. On the basis, this paper tries to explore new phenomena and solve new problems, to prospect the new direction of building skin design.
