The Research On The Application Of Linear Language In Landscape

Along with social progress and economic development, Chinese landscape construction is in rapid development period, So its creation takes on diversity and artistic. The creation of landscape construction must be from function, ecology, art, culture and so on. It needs to deepen and expand landscape practice; it needs to enrich vocabulary and creation technique of landscape; it also needs to pay attention to application research of the basic elements in landscape.Line is the most basic form element and visual element in the landscape. Line exists everywhere in the landscape. But because of line widespread, its application forms in landscape have gradually been weakened. In certain parts of the landscape, there is a phenomenon that the line's application is chaotic and monotonous, and lack of artistic and emotional interaction with human. So, it seems extraordinary significant to understand of the "line", explore the application practices and rules of "line" in landscape, excavate the application potential of the "line", so as to bringing linear language into research and using it into landscape practice.The theoretical basis of this paper is Art form, Garden Aesthetics, Environmental psychology. First, it is defines the meaning of linear and linear languages, summarized, path expression, boundary lines, body lines and lines is linear forms in gardening and aesthetic, orientation, separation and emotional is language form of gardening. Second, it summarize some applications of linear language used in gardening such us a variety of lines and curves, scientific principles and artistic principles, and the topography, water, buildings, plants, park road in gardening. At last, I take a field survey on the Southern Suburbs Park and the Orange Island Park, analysis the application of linear language on the topography, water, buildings, plants, park road for each parks, and we know, the application of linear language used in the Orange Island Park is more reasonable than the Southern Suburbs Park.
