The Study On Design Language Of Canal Culture Landscape

Canal culture landscape is one of the significant carriers of human culture. As People pay more and more attention to the canal cultural landscape, great changes have taken place in human understanding and expression, traditional language of cultural landscape cannot be understood. In order to complete the culture landscape construction, it is an urgent problem to find a way to express the historical culture meanings by extracting and using the characteristic culture language of the canal cultural landscape. In this way, canal culture landscape can be developed and used properly under protection and develop its own value adequately.To express the canal culture landscape language smoothly is not only an important part of the cultural landscape protection, but also a means for rational utilization and development. Basing on the linguistic theory, this paper demonstrated the language characteristics from the aspects of context, vocabulary and grammar and analyzed the system structure, vocabulary struction, grammar of culture landscape language. Taking Jinghang Grand canal as example, this paper studied the canal culture landscape and analyzed the characteristics of landscape language by field investigation, literature review, case analysis etc., the study of the canal culture landscape analyzed the landscape characteristics of language, trying to extract the elements of traditional language and apply in modern landscape design. Therefore, the language framework of landscape design could be built, to provide new theoretical basis for the protection and utilization of canal cultural landscape.This paper was mainly divided into three parts. The first part illustrated the background of this research and analyzed the status of canal culture landscape from the field of geography, heritage areas, linguistics etc., putting forward the purpose and significance of this research; The second part studied the theories related to the language of canal culture landscape, and put forward the definition and the frame of canal culture landscape language, then analyzed the features of canal culture landscape language such as vocabulary, grammar and context; The third part beijing-hangzhou grand canal, analyzed the context and extract the vocabulary of Jinghang grand canal culture landscape. According to grammar rules of the canal culture landscape language, the language of jining ancient canal cultural was explored deeply.
