The Research Of Port Land's "Country Gate"

Country Gate is an important component of land port buildings, which usually stands in the upper course of the way on the border, so it become a sign that start or end a country's area. Due to different positions, some functions such as border management and tourism are added to interior of Country Gate. At present, the situation in China is that a port must have a Country Gate.. However, Country Gate. is a type of newly-minted buildings and some proprietors don't know the functions and construction purposes of this kind of buildings. An inaccurate positioning and an ambiguous conception affect the design quality of Country Gate. in some extent. It is in this context that the research of Country Gate. is carried out in this paper.In chapter 1, the origin, status and significance of the subject are introduced. In chapter 2, relevant concepts of Country Gate are resolved, the physical environments on which Country Door depends are discussed, and the distribution of first class land ports, Country Gate of first class land ports and Country Gate of neighboring countries are remarked in the form or chart. In chapter 3 the function of Country Gate from material and spirit are interpreted first, and then the ancient and modern origin of Country Gate are explored by sub-two clues; Type List of Country Gate sorts out the Country Gate according to the types of existing door buildings; Finally, some typical types of Country Gate are introduced, including some foreign buildings of the same kind. In chapter 4, the influence factors to the shape of the Country Gate are discussed. Politics is the primary factor, followed by function and religion.By discussion, classification and conclusion to Country Gate in the previous chapters, the viewpoint that Country Gate is a kind of memorial buildings which have the characters of trafficability and restricting areas is put forward. In Chapter 5 eidos come into being by using the memorial charicters of acient Arc de Triomphe, temples, stone stele, literary works and so on, which is used to enrich the soft carrier and hard carrier of the memorial character of Country Gate. In the end, use the autor's design practice of a Country Gate to support the view proposed in this paper.
