Baiyun International Meeting Center of Guangzhou is the key project of Guangdong province and Guangzhou city, of which the total investment is approximately 4 billion yuan RMB. This center will be a large-scale public buildings located in the west of guangzhou baiyun mountain national scenic area, west to the Baiyun Avenue,which will have the function of conference center, hotel and exhibition etc. The planning land GFA of this project is 250404 sqm and the construction GFA is 316510 sqm. As to the plan, the first underground floor are parking garage and equipment room and the aerial parts from north to south are composed of 5 buildings from A to E. Among the 5 buildings, building A and E will be the supporting hotels of the Conference center.Building A will have 12 storeys with a construction height of 55.1m above ground, owning 972 beds. And building E will have 11 storeys with a construction height of 55.1m above ground, owning 1228 beds.Building B, C and D will be the conference center which will have 5 storeys with a construction height of 42.2m, setting three large conference room, 58 medium and small conference room, 1 exhibition gallery and 1 banquet hall. Each large conference room can contain 2500 seats, 1200 seats and 500 seats.A lot of new methods and techniques are applied in the design of water supply and drainage of this project based on the traditional process: 1 Superposed pressure (no negative) is used in water supply system for the outdoor green and fire hydrant, making full use of the residual pressure of municipal pipe network, and saving energy. 2. Vacuum drainage system is adopted in basement. It's a closed system, so no sewage contamination leaks, and odorless spills. 3 Siphon roof drainage systems are used to overcome the disadvantage of gravity flow of rain water drainage system with many pipes, large diameter. 4, Appling water source heat pump system with air conditioning waste heat to provide hot water to the staff quarters can save fuel cost of more than 50 million annually; 5, The same floor drainage system are used in hotel rooms without water noise and bathroom layout is flexible; 6, Except the fire hydrant system, sprinkler also features a large outer space intelligent fire extinguishing system, rain, water curtain and other systems to improve the building fire system reliability; 7, For large buildings, the layout of pipelines needs to meet both the regulatory requirements, but also the installation and commissioning, operation and management requirements.
