With the development of inland shipping industry of our country. Inland waterways has constructed a large number of low-head hydro-junctions in order to improve the navigation channel conditions. The lock is used to the buildings that ships overcome the concentration water level drop, and its capacity of passing the ship impacts on inland shipping.With the development of regional economic cooperation, the volume of freight is climbing in many shipping lines, the transport ship develops large-scales,a lot of built locks are approaching saturation on even has saturated, these prompte the construction of multi-line locks.For the ease of operation and management, reducing land acquisition, and improving land utilization rate, a lot of reserve locks are located nearby the built locks, they are closer each other. This may cause a range of issues in the time of new lock bracing arrangement,such as lock chamber sidesway due to the soil pressure, causing the gate loose, impating the normal operation of lock.The upstream water level and lock excavation form a higher water level difference, and might lead piping, give rise to seepage failure, can't guarantee construction safety.and how to ensure the stability of upstream and downstream navigation lock wall when excavation.Therefore, Selecting a reasonable way of excavation and the distance of foundation and adjoin lock, and dopting whicht kind of protective measures are particularly important to ensure the normal operation of lock.At present, fou the rare research of the bracing arrangemenimpat on adjoining lock in our country, this article will study the following aspects using the combination of the physical model test and numerical simulation method:(1) Summarize the applications and research of adjoining lock excavation, generalize the situation of the impact bracing arrangement on the adjacent building through referring to the literature both home and abroad.(2) Set the second-tier ship lock ZhuZhou construction engineering as background,use interior model test method to establish generalized model. Analysising the excavation with row of piles to study the displacement law of adjacent lock chamber wall and soldier pile.(3) Investigating the method of parameters back-calculation of geotechnical engineering, back analysising the material parameters based on orthogonal design of the abutting ship lock of the excavation, to provide accurate parameter to finite element analysis of the subsequent study of the effect of excavation on the adjacent lock.(4) Using numerical simulation method of finite element, system analysising the lock in non-operating and operating conditions, that the variation laws of the displacement of adjacent lock chamber, soil pressure behind a wall and subgrade reaction caused by excavation.Studying the factors of the effect of excavation on adjacent lock, in order to provide reference to project design and construction.
