The final velocity and impact of the high-voltage switchs Electromagnetic Actuator(EA) is great in the course of closing operation, which will reduce the mechanical life of EA. At present,the contact spring is used respectively to reduce buffer. This solution faced with the problem is the existing paradox of buffer spring strength and closing power . In the analysis of three typical actuator principle and based on the characteristics of the main components,put forward the technology at the appropriate time to impose the reverse excitation, use of electromagnetic buffer to reduce the impact of mechanical.This can avoid the use of springs to achieve an appropriate buffer caused by the spring issue of its own failure. By using ANSYS simulation software establish model of the electromagnetic actuator,the reverse excitation of electromagnetic bodies play a buffer role In the theoretical, At the same time ,ANSYS simulation were verified through the experiments .Experimental results show that using electromagnetic cushion can indeed play a role in cushioning the impact of mechanism,a different closing place and a different action time of reverse excitation will bring different buffer effect. As long as the technology used appropriately can improve the performance of high-voltage switches and increase the life of the Actuator.
