Relying on the AP227 Ed.2, which origins from the STEP and specializes on the description of the marine plant spatial configuration, this thesis focuses on the research and the implementation on the data normalization and the exchange information required for the pipe, modeling in the TRIBON.With the technology of CIMS successfully fulfilling in the shipbuilding more and more, the ship outfitting designing efficiency as well as the costing on the manufacturing makes more important as a key step during the two termed integration, which detailed: the integration of designing, manufacturing and management; the integration of hull, outfitting and painting, also outcomes as a key factor, which influences the cycle of shipbuilding. To procure the knotty problem falling across in the future, such as the resolve of data compatibility between different CAD software for marine plant such as CATIA and TRIBON , the implementation of paperless manufacturing benefiting from the integration of CAD and CAM; the sharing on ship outfitting modeling data between CAE and CAD; the achievement of digital shipbuilding enterprise, the realization of the information exchange required for design, analysis and installation of mechanical components and mechanical systems is the precondition. Under this context, as the ship pipe as the application objection, which is one of the represent of the marine plant spatial configuration, this thesis focuses on the research on the data normalization.Firstly, this thesis clarifies and familiars with the outlook and the structure of STEP as well as the function of subpart, especially the things as followed: the integrated generic resource:part 41,part42; the implementation method:part 21 as well as the description method:part11. Furthermore, this thesis specializes in the understanding the AP227 Ed.2, which privates in marine plant spatial configuration, clarifies the entity, which used on the description of ship pipe model. In another means, a full provision for the development of data normalization interface, intended to develop later, is completed.Secondly, the description of pipe data modeling in TRIBON and the characteristic of data structure of component is also researched in this thesis, the editor also makes a research on the data extraction of pipe model and develops a processor to make the data extraction from TRIBON and stores it in the ACCESS. In addition, according to the requirement for the description rule of geometry graph, the editor also make a pretreatment on the data stored in the ACCESS preliminary.At last, as the pipe data stored in the ACCESS as the object, as the neutral mechanism as an approach, the ship pipe data normalization interface is developed, where after, as the 1203 block of 30000DWT heavy lift multi-purpose vessel as the application object, the interface is verified, meanwhile, the normalized data exchanged by the interface aforementioned passes the visible test through the ST-TOOLS.
