Studies On The System And Development Strategies For Country Parks In Beijing

In 2007, Beijing Municipal government starts to conduct a Country Park Development project in order to control urban unordered expansion, to protect reasonable structure of city space, to safeguard social and natural resources, to improve ecological environment, and to offer short distance place of entertainment to citizens. According to the planning of the project,102 country parks will be developed every 3 km around North 5th Ring Road and South-West 4th Ring Road. In recent years, the development project has great progress. But there is no relevant process and scientific theory to instruct the project. This paper is aim to analyze the current characteristics of the system of Beijing Country Park, to elaborate the relationship between urban development and Park development around cities. Through above dedicated research, current problems of this development will be listed. In addition, I will make relevant recommendations in order to improve the development model and process, which will include the amount of parks, layout and major design opinion etc. This paper intends to help municipal government, planning department or any other institutions or individuals during making their decisions about country park development. This paper is divided into six sections.First section is to describe the background and aiming of the paper, list the content, structure and methodology of this researchSecond section is to introduce the relevant concepts and theories about this topic. In addition, it will present the current situation of the relevant researches, which will be the strong supports of instruction to the research of the development system of Beijing Country ParkThird section intends to analyze the system characteristics of Beijing Country Park via size, layout, style of parks based on the current situation of the Beijing Country Park development.Fourth section intends to analyze the relationship between urban development and Country Park development based on the analysis of relationship between land utilization, population layout, city transportation, city Greenland system, urban park system and suburban park system.We can find that Country Park system has close relationship with the city planning. There will be two paths to develop the Beijing Country Park system, such as city central parks and traditional country parks.Fifth section accords to the interactive relationship between development of Country Parks and urban planning in Beijing, i will make advice on the Space-time classification system of country parks.
