The White Pants Yao, or also called Ji Nu, is a branch of Yao, mainly distributed in Yao rural in Nan Dan county of Guang Xi province, Ba Yu and Li Bo county of Gui Zhou city, known for the male of it wearing white pants all year round. Since the less influence of other nation’s clothing, the unique quality and the beauty of appearance of their clothing is protected perfectly. Its drawing of clothing is combined by painting and embroidering, which consist of sap batik of sticky paste painting and peach blossom pattern. The traditional technique of sticky paste painting increase the uniqueness of their clothing. Whether unique artistic languages are the core styles of "YaoWang print" and "blood fingerprints", or the basic elements constituting a drawing, all is extremely attractive. The characteristics and patterns of White Pants Yao’s clothing are embodied in the form of layout design and colour. Abstract and concise dress patterns as well as charming comparative color mixed usage, are also unique in ethnic costumes. Its adornment is also quiet popular in modern aesthetic, which has exercised a great influence on painting, garment design, arts and crafts creation, with a strong contemporary feeling and aesthetic orientation.In this paper, the pattern and styles of the White Pants Yao ethnic costumes had been investigated and some historical stories had been obtained by interviews at Huhuaili Village Nandan County in Guangxi Province. Aiming at Nandan County White Pants Yao ethnic costumes, a summative description of cultural and historical background has been described in the first three chapters of the article. As a critical section of the article, the chapter 4 gave a summary of art composition and characteristic of shape and color of Baikuyao ethnic costumes after analyzed and created, which highlighted the focus of the entire article. Finally, the result attributed to the inheritance and protection of White Pants Yao ethnic costumes. The problems of inheritance and protection had been displayed in the terms of costumes inheritance and pertinence strategies were proposed in the article.
