This paper analyzes the process of straightening hydraulic straightening machine, straightening the workpiece measuring processes, technical requirements and technical parameters, proposed the use of non-contact measurement of single point laser range sensor and control system + the workpiece rotation, the use of the axis measurement system movement and rotation to the workpiece to complete the workpiece straightness measurement. By comparing various control strategies, identifies a better straightening machine workpiece measurement and control system solutions.This essay use the newest laser sensor, with a laser sensor controller which link with computer. Measure with a non-contact way.Laser has a high accuracy and wide measure range, it can be controlled by computer, therefore it has a powerful contact with people.The paper choose IPC-based control system as the system control program, which has high flexibility, high accuracy, data storage and processing convenience, cost-effective and many other advantages, it can completely meet the design requirements of the system. The measuring and controlling software of system is based on Visual Basic 6.0, which has good man-machine interface, modular programming ideas, and good stability.
