Guangxi is located in the southwest of china and is a place with abundant sunlight and rainfall. With the process of modernization, cane sugar industrialization have been realized in most part of Guangxi,and mechanical equipments are used at large - scale. Traditional methods of sugar production are fading away. When the sugarcane are sold to sugar factories in most areas, the traditional methods of sugar production are still maintained in some areas of Daxin county. Naman is a case. Although some changes took place in some process or tool equipments, the traditional methods of sugar production are reserved till now .This paper presents the results of survey of the tradition of sugar production in Naman, and points out that the conflict between traditional technique and modern technologies comes form the differences during the actual production, the differences in the attitude of comprehending nature and the differences in the recognition of value between traditional technology and modern technology.The paper is divided into five parts. The first part is a introduction, the authors have introduced the reason that we choose this topic, relative concepts, the domestic and foreign research situation, a new idea and research method of the thesis, and then it come up with the study framework of the paper. The second part is the preliminary knowledge about sugar and refine sugar which is necessary in the paper is given. The third part includes the investigation on the method of traditional sugar-making and inheritance in Naman. The fourth part includes a rational thinking on traditional artcrafts and analyze the conflict between traditional technology and modern technology of the sugar refining while the last part is the conclusion of the paper, which emphasizes the key point and put forward some suggestions.The most important innovation of this paper is to present two kinds of existing forms of folk traditional crafts, which include the original primitive skills and the regeneration skills. The original primitive skills show the history of the past, and they are a kind of invariable skills for a very long time. The regeneration skills are a kind of skills of keeping pace with the times. We present the above concept in order to make the folk traditional crafts better develop with the form of the regeneration skills, especially the realm of culture. The deficiencey of the paper become apparent in the minor scope of investigation and inadequate studies on some questions.
