The traditional Chinese printing and dyeing technology is the result of the wisdom of the ancient Chinese.It dates back a long time and is still in use today,offering an unparalleled artistic value.As society and science and technology develop,new printing and dyeing technologies and new materials are also improving,which have increased the output and quality of printed and dyed products.With the contemporary pursuit of a natural life,this traditional technology is making a come-back and has received more and more attention,for it is in line with the green life philosophy.The traditional printing and dyeing processes have been innovated and updated and applied to fashion design so that they are integrate with fashion.Innovating the traditional processes involves continual experimentation and using new materials and technologies.This paper studies and combines the innovation of the traditional printing and dyeing in garment design.
