At present, many river way in china are under the condition of Black-odor water, it is therefore imperative to deal the problem of Black-odor water. Compared to traditional physical and chemical methods, Biological method has advantages characterized by the green, economic, not damage the ecological environment, and the preferable effect. Therefore, microorganism and aquatic plants were chosen in this study to purify the Black-odor water and aim to provide certain theoretical basis for control the Black-odor water.Preferable effect of purification by Photosynthetic bacteria(PSB)P9 and the bacteria 2# was obtained. The dissolved oxygen was increased by 113% and the removal rate of COD, BOD,NH3-N, color threshold and odor threshold were 35.1%,26.7%,14.9%,15.2 % and 29.5%, respectively six days latter with P9 concentration amount 8*105 cells/mL.when the concentration amount of bacteria 2# was 2*104 cells/mL, The dissolved oxygen was increased by 107% and the removal rate of COD, BOD,NH3-N, color threshold and odor threshold were 47%,34.7%,23.3%,32% and 40.1%, respectively. The results demonstrated that P9 and the bacteria 2# both could obviously improve the black and odor.The Black-odor water was also purified by three aquatic plants, water hyacinth, canna and Lemna minor. The optimum condition for purification was per water hyacinth/200L, per canna/200L, and per unit (4dm2) water hyacinth/200L. The dissolved oxygen was increased by 83.3% and the removal rate of COD, BOD, NH3-N, color threshold and odor threshold were22.2%,26%,15.4%,19.3% and 40.9%, respectively in treatment of Lemna minor. The dissolved oxygen was increased by 95.5% and the removal rate of COD, BOD, NH3-N, color threshold and odor threshold were 30.5%, 22.6%,18.7%,23.7% and 44.8%, respectively in treatment of water hyacinth. The dissolved oxygen was increased by 103.6% and the removal rate of COD, BOD, NH3-N, color threshold and odor threshold were32.1%,39.6%,18.4%,35.8% and 52.9%, respectively in treatment of water hyacinth. Those results demonstrated that three aquatic plants all could obviously improve the black and odor.In simulated experiment of Black-odors river, The dissolved oxygen was increased by 299% and the removal rate of COD, BOD,NH3-N, color threshold and odor threshold were 56.2%,33.1%,44.8%,55% and 57.6%, respectively eight days latter with inoculation of P9 and bacteria 2#. when the addition of P9, bacteria 2#, and three aquatic plants, The dissolved oxygen was increased by 107% and the removal rate of COD, BOD,NH3-N, color threshold and odor threshold were70.6%,47%,58.3%,65.4% and 69.1%, respectively. The results of simulated experiment of Black-odors river demonstrated that combination of P9,bacteria 2# and three aquatic plants both could obviously improve the black and odor.
