With the increase of urban population, a large number of pollutants are discharged into water body, leading to the water body eutrophication, even black and odor. Black-odor water is so harmful to human's lives and health that its control is very urgent. In order to provide evidence for the control of black-odor water, ten Photosynthetic bacteria named P1,P2,P3,P4,P5,P6,P7,P8,P9,P10 respectively and the mixed Pm were enriched from different polluted sediment and sewage. The anaerobic test showed that the removal rate of CODcr, NH3-N, S-2, odor threshold and color threshold by P2, P3, P4, P5, P8, P9, Pm was 75.00% - 82.00%,24.20%-27.97%,72.03%-87.89%,58.90%-69.08% and 75.29%-87.89% respectively three days later with inoculation amount 1%. And the effect of purification by P9 is the highest. The aerobic test showed that when the inoculation amount is 1.0%, after three days the removal rate of CODcr, NH3-N, S-2, odor threshold and color threshold by P2,P3,P4,P5,P8,P9,Pm was 60.67%-79.92%,35.92%-40.16%,72.03%-82.93%,58.25%-66.55% and 75.29-85.09% respectively while dissolved oxygen concentration increased from 0.54mg/L to 2.63mg/L. And P2 can obviously improve the black and odor.Photosynthetic bacteria are diversity of metabolism and species, and distribute widely in nature, playing an important role in purifying sewage. Its effect of purifying relate to a variety of environmental factors such as temperature, light, inoculation amount. Inappropriate use will be difficult to achieve the expected results. So, the paper study the effect of temperature, light, inoculation amount in purifying artificial black-odor water by P9. And study the effect of purifying natural black-odor water by P9 indoors and outdoors. The aim is to provide an effective and feasible way for governance of Black-odor water.The results showed that dominant microbe of P9 is Rhodopseudomonas palustris. It can improve effectively the odor and color of water under anaerobic light with inoculation amount 1.0%, 30℃. The indoor experiment showed that the removal rate of CODcr, NH3-N, S-2, odor threshold and color threshold by P9 is 70.58%,30.00%, 84.12 %,75.00 %,62.12 % respectively under anaerobic light three days later with inoculation amount 1%. The outdoor experiment showed that the removal rate of CODcr, NH3-N, color threshold by P9 is 61.58%,40.12%,60.50% respectively three days later with inoculation amount 1%. And the dissolved oxygen concentration increase 6 times.
