The rotating center of many turning processing methods for crankshaft connecting rod neck is connecting rod necks'axis.When crankshaft high-speeding, centrifugal force will cause processing vibration, bad processing qualities, and repeatedly clamping and low accuracy can also influence the efficiency.while milling process will give the following grinding more processing burden.The paper proposes a new compound turning technology for crankshaft cylinder machining.Based on the introduction of the compound turning test devices and prototype of crankshaft, the article makes a processing planning and design for the new compound turning technology. And the main contents are as follows:1. According to the analysis and comparison of the several processing and compound turning technologies about processing efficiency,machining accuracy and investment costs, especially the the development trend of crankshaft processing in recent years, we give a conclusion that compound turning technology is a new processing method which is more suitable for the market in China.2. Making a introduction about the performance parameters,working principle and power transmission chain of the experiment device.Puting forward a ideal prototype model which have duals frameto turning shaft neck at the same time.3. Trying to make sure a representative crankshaft's compound turning porcessing parameters on the prototype,through the detail analysis of its material, forming methods, shaft neck numbers and so on.4. Considering the the related parameters,try to analyze the tool material and model,the workpiece machining allowance,tool changing sequence,cutting path,and the inspection after turning and so on.Making a process planning of compound turning in order to be applied in the different materials four cylinders crankshaft external circular processing.5. Finding out the difference between six cylinders crankshaft and four cylinders crankshaft turning technology, which brought by the structure and dimensions'differences. Making a summarize about the general six cylinders crankshaft compound turning process planning. Discussing how to turning some crankshafts which have some special structures(undercut, balance piece side), and then making compound turning process planning of these crankshaft so as to be applied in different structures six cylinders crankshaft external circular processing.
