The compound turning test device of crankshaft is a kind of special equipment designed to solve a series of problems about the process of crankshaft through translational tool system driven by inline Transmission chain after positionedThe tool system is the core component of the test device. A new turret bodies-gear-rod combination turret institution is proposed after careful analysis of the following turning theory and study of the existing t tool system.The main content of this paper are as follows:1. The following turning theory, The paper proves that the trajectory of turning tool in crankshaft plane is a ring through the conversion of the coordinate system, which verifies the correctness of the following turning theory. Besides, the paper puts forward three translational tool mechanism-Parallelogram mechanism, sine agencies, five bar mechanism with the slider. According to the error superposition principle, the error function of the tool tip is deduced when rod length error and motion error exists and the error curve is drawed by matlab2. Five bar mechanism is selected as the tool rest mechanism. Considering the hardness of the structure realization, the paper changes it to the combined mechanism of gear and linkage, discusses the dynamic balance of combination mechanism, analyzes the stress condition, and gets the assembly drawing of the tool mechanism.3.3D-modeling and finite element analysis of the tool system.The parts of the tool system were modeled in the three-dimensional software Pro/E, and has carried on the virtual assembly. Inherent frequency, vibration mode, the maximum stress curves and position error curve is obtained after the transient dynamics analysis and the modal analysis of the tool system is simulated in the Workbench12.0. Finally,it is concluded that the key to improve the machining accuracy is to reduce phase error, namely the gear backlash of. transmission chain.
