A Study On Functional Dimensions Optimization Of The Staff Desk Based On The Health Sitting Posture

The desk can not only provide a working table for people to do the office work, but a good designed desk can help to maintain a healthy sitting posture, which could protect the health of the office staff, having a great significance on the"office health". From the view of the ergonomics, the following relevant issues on functional dimension optimization of the staff desk are researched based on the health sitting posture theory:(1) The objective and subjective indicators on the evaluation of the health and comfort of the desk are established, and the weight of the corresponding indicators is computed by the Super Decisions software in accordance with the AHP method.(2) The data of the body's objective indicators is measured using the cameras method under different desktop height / inclination level, and the date of the subjective indicators is surveyed by the"SD method":During the traditional desktop operations and VDT operations, the objective analysis shows that the relative optimal height of the desktop is 770mm and 740mm respectively and the subjective result show that the relative optimal height of the desktop is 740mm within the four different experimental desktop height level.During the traditional desktop operations ,the objective analysis shows that the relative optimal inclination of the sectional desktop is 50°; The subjective result show that the relative optimal inclination of the integral desktop is 10°within the five different experimental desktop inclination level.(3) According to the relevant theories on the desktop width, depth and allowance of the leg space, their corresponding conventional ranges are calculated combining the related human dimensions measured by the cameras method:The conventional ranges of the desktop width: 630 ~ 840mm; the ranges of the desktop depth: 540 ~ 625mm; the ranges of the allowance leg space of the desk height: 550 ~ 635mm; the ranges of the allowance leg space of the desk width : 725 ~ 810 mm; the ranges of the allowance leg space of the desk depth : 810 ~ 885mm.(4) A questionnaire on the using actuality of the desk is designed and executed, the result of the survey show that the dimensions of the desktop, allowance of the leg space and other things should be improvement. On the bases of the survey, the optimization and improvement of the functional dimensions of the staff desk is induced and a optimal scheme of the staff desk is designed combining the experimental and computational results.
