As a kind of efficient, clean and renewable energy, hydrogen has gained international energy circles'average consensus. It was also widely applied in the petroleum chemical industry, electronic industry, food industry, aviation fields etc. However, hydrogen is a kind of gas which is colorless, odorless, inconvenient carrying and easy leak. It's extremely explosive with open fire when the mixing proportion of hydrogen and air achieves 4.1~74.1 percent rounded at room temperature and pressure standard. In order to eliminate the hidden safety trouble in the process of using hydrogen, it's extremely significance to develop a set of applicability, high sensitivity, stable and reliable, low price of hydrogen concentration monitoring system.Based on testing technology and embedded systems'research, this paper developed a set of embedded hydrogen concentration monitoring system based on the ARM according to using structured, modular scheme. This system is mainly composed of signal acquisition module, A/D conversion module, the core control module, storage module, display & alarm module and debugging download module.Through the weak current signal which is outputted by sensor, this system firstly designs the low noise and high anti-interference front-end signal circuit to extract hydrogen concentration signal effectively. Then, it designs some outer circuits, such as power supply circuit, storage interface circuit, LCD display interface circuit and debugging download interface for the core of the system device ARM processor S3C2410. The next is to transplant embedded Linux operating system for S3C2410, develop A/D device drivers, and build a platform of embedded software system, and complete the key processing, digital filtering, display and alarm application design etc. by the software development platform. In addition, the embedded graphical user interface development toolkit Embedded/Qt are introduced, and a simple, intuitive, reliable graphical user interface is designed, the function of real-time display and off-gauge warning etc. are realized. Finally, the system is tested under laboratory conditions.The embedded hydrogen concentration monitoring system based on S3C2410 is good performance, low power consumption, small volume and low cost, and it can be flexible configuration on demand, provide a complete set of software and hardware solutions for various embedded application. It is going to have a broad application prospect in hydrogenation stand, auto enclosure, the industrial field and in many other different environments.
