For a long time, the NO.9 plant of Daqing has been adopting the transportation technology with heated water blended into annular pipelines in peripheral stripper oil fields. In 2008, the plant`s total energy consumption reached 8.44×104 tons standard coal. With the oilfields entering into the high water cut stage, there is increasing energy consumption for crude oil with heated gathering and tansporting. And hence the energy consuming must be reduced immediately.With the methods of theoretical analysis, lab experiments and field test, the paper studies the limit of unheated gathering and transportation and the demulsification characteristic for crude oil emulsion at low temperature. The paper theoretically analyzes the factors which affect unheated gathering and tansprting, and develops calculation software of gathering and transproting limits for looped pipe network; the limit of unheated gathering and transportation for stripper oilfields is confirmed through the field test; the best demulsifier fit for gathering and tansporting at low temperature is selected by the laboratory experiment of filtering the demulsifying agnent for crude oil emulsion at low temperature.The achievement of this paper is that it can provide stripper oilfields to carry out unheated gathering and transporting, reduce oilfield production cost, and save sources.
