Special Office Furniture Research Based On The View Of Immaterial Design

In the post-industrial era, new features factor is affecting the design world. With the awakening of environmental awareness and concerning about non-material factors such as culture and emotion, there is a new wave in the design world, and immaterial design is to be a trend. Meanwhile, there is a new development of the office concept and office forms in the post-industrial era and office furniture design have become more diversified. Based on the study and analysis of the immaterial design, the paper proves its feasibility through applying it to the office furniture industry. The main research and conclusions included:(1) This paper describes the concept of non-material and non-material design, outlines the three major content of non-material design, analyses that ecological civilized way of life instead a hedonistic way of life, the maintenance of society is replacing of the performance of social and service design model will replace the consumer-oriented design patterns into the non-material society, deconstructs the features of the immaterial design, and summarizes the three objectives of immaterial design: design and the "creation" to lead low-carbon way of life; design and environment with green design; design and culture follows the human-centered design.(2) Analysis of the change of office space and office forms and the development of office furniture into the post-industrial era. Based on the immaterial design create a closed chain of sustainable development system in the office furniture industry, establish a new scale and personalized customization system in the office furniture corporation through analyzing the various design elements of the "service" system, and analyze the impact of the service system for consumers and business.(3) Combining with the ecological viewpoint of sustainable development and reuse of resources, discuss the immaterial office furniture design based on matter from the function service design and the spirit service design, and establish the office furniture product coding system to serve the service system.(4) Analyze the existing office furniture market conditions and problems and the function and spiritual needs of office furniture for modern worker through market research and questionnaire survey, and apply the immaterial design based on the service to the Midwest special office furniture and office space design.(5) Apply the service concept into practice through attending furniture design contest and the examples of cooperative projects between schools and enterprises, to explore the viability of the immaterial design in the office furniture industry.Finally, this paper investigates the feasibility and the future prospect of immaterial design in Chinese office furniture industry, and explores harmonious development for human and environment to satisfy the interests of consumers and businesses while the environmental meeting benefits by establishing the office furniture service system.
